   Using data from the Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS-HC), this Statistical Brief presents estimates of how the U.S. adult civilian noninstitutionalized population is incorporating three self-initiated measures of heart disease prevention into their lives. These three measures are not smoking, engaging in physical exercise regularly, and maintaining healthy weight (body mass index [BMI] <25).
